We invite you to a one-day “short”
A small relaxing trip around the Bohemian Paradise and the Bohemian Highlands. Start at Kunětická hora by the bar to get coffee. We went towards Hrádek u Nechanic where we were very quickly. A few photos in the park, which were made possible by a biker castellan and accompanied by him we rode on a short cut lawn and took and unforgettable photo. Then we went our way in the direction of Bohemian Paradise. At noon lunch in a pub in Jičíněvsi. Then to one of our trip destinations – Veliš hill. There used to stand a beautiful castle, but it was unsuccessfully besieged by Swedes during the 30 Years War, so the emperor demolished it in 1658 so it wouldn’t fall into the hands of enemies. I have to admit that this place really interested me. Followed another ice cream break in Lomnice nad Popelkou. Then we went along winding roads to the Kozákov lookout tower, then through Košovo, Koberovy, Frýdštejn to Hodkovice. There we got gas (and some prosecco 😊). We passed through the countryside visited by the forefather of Bohemia, we passed the Říp mountain, we admired the majestic Bezděz Castle and the peaks of the Bohemian Highlands. We continue to the last stop, which is the castle Kokořín. We saw it from a distance and we know, why it wasn’t conquered by Hussites. Then followed the journey to our destination which was the beautiful and picturesque town at the edge of the Bohemian Highlands. The oldest privileges of the city date back to the 14th century, the city had the right of capital. In 1426 the Hussites spent the night in Hoštka before the Battle of Ústí nad Labem. The town is characterized by its hospitality and I recommend stopping for lunch or dinner at the restaurant U Lišky, unrivaled goodies await you. In the evening, the stylish bar Stodola Jack Daniels. We slept in this town and in the morning we went to Pekelné doly for a cup of water for we were thirsty. We ended our trip called “SHORT” there. We have this and more trips prepared for you.
